Summary

Responsible for performing technical services for existing and new lubricant and chemical customers, general promotion of maintenance products and services from the Asset Management and Performance (AMP) department, and the delivery of AMP products to customer locations.

***This position requires up to 60% of travel to East Texas, Central Texas and Oklahoma.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform oil and chemical sampling services on customer locations; includes obtaining used oil and coolant samples from equipment in drilling, gas compression, and commercial & industrial industries.
  • Perform coolant flush and hydraulic filtration/dehydration services on customer locations.
  • Conduct basic equipment inspections and complete associated data collection and reporting.
  • Deliver basic maintenance products to customers such as parts, filters, greases, additives, etc.
  • Basic equipment repair/maintenance (pumps, hoses, etc.) on Pilot Thomas Logistics (PTL) and customer locations.
  • Provide necessary documentation (field paperwork and delivery tickets) to Office Personnel in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide technical information and feedback to customers.
  • Promote value of PTL products and services.

  • Special projects as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Hourly rate based on experience. Specific pay structures/rates may be disclosed during the interview process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 year driving experience in Class A vehicle required.
  • Class A commercial driver's license required.
  • Tanker endorsement required.
  • Ability to drive a to 1-ton pick-up truck, bumper pull and gooseneck trailer.
  • Computer knowledge needed.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Ability to pass DOT pre-employment screenings including but not limited to DOT drug test, MVR,physical, Background, Inspection Report, Clearinghouse, and CMV road test
  • Have and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to couple hoses to connect and disconnect hoses.
  • Ability to drive truck off road, on roads that are narrow and have steep inclines.
  • Ability to properly install tire chains in snowy, icy, and muddy conditions
  • Ability to safely climb ladders.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel).

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Working Conditions:

  • May require to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20)pounds.
  • May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
  • May require bending, twisting, squatting, crouching and kneeling.
  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.
