Field Service Technician Manager (Carlin)

Position Summary:
Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the field service technicians. Advises and makes recommendations with respect to the best interests of the company wherever field service technician activities are involved.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Hires, trains, and directs the work of all field service technician to efficiently perform at the highest level possible.
  • Conducts performance reviews for all field service technicians.
  • Primary point of customer contact for scheduling all field service work.
  • Supervise and train/mentor field service technicians.
  • When necessary, performance of field service as backup to field service technicians.
  • Troubleshooting and necessary repairs on site.
  • Monitoring of inventory, customer service calls, billings, and expenses.
  • Maintains and executes good housekeeping and safety in the work area for the best possible image of the company and safety of the team members.

Other Functions:

  • Special projects as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 plus years of experience as a field service technician is required.
  • 3 plus years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Superior organization skills and ability to supervise and motivate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of blueprints.
  • Ability to utilize all hand tools and grinders.
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working on fuel dispensers.
  • Minimum of 1 year of welding experience.
  • Must be able to qualify for MSHA training.


  • High school diploma or GED required, plus some technical training
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Work in all-weather conditions.
  • Stand and/or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Lift 50 to 100 lbs.
  • Must have own tools
