The Associate Trader will play a key role on the trading desk, responsible for trade execution, position management, and market analysis. This is a front-office commercial role with direct accountability for position accuracy, hedge execution, and contribution to desk Profit and Loss (P&L).

Essential Responsibilities:

• Execute physical and financial trades under trader direction, within risk and policy limits.
• Maintain real-time trading positions, exposures, and daily P&L.
• Support strategy development and execute hedges to manage risk.
• Monitor pipeline allocations, inventory levels, and logistics flows to optimize trading positions.
• Provide timely market intelligence on pricing, supply/demand fundamentals, and arbitrage opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, scheduling, and risk control to ensure seamless trade lifecycle management.
• Enhance tools and reporting to improve transparency and commercial decision-making.

Other Functions:

• Special projects as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3–6 years’ experience in trading, risk management, or commodities required.
• Advanced Excel skills; SQL, BI tools, or Python a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated commercial drive with interest in developing into a lead trader role.

Education:

• ‍Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.

• May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to ten (10) pounds.
• May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
• May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
