Buyback Analyst - Grapevine, TX

Execute day-to-day tasks related to DM2 Master Data for Buyback customers for all entities of Pilot Thomas Logistics (PTL).  Requires attention to detail, good analytical skills, excellent communication skills, self-reliance and successfully execute project management skills that will include all aspects of buyback customer accounts. Responsible for entering prices into the Enterprise software (DM2) and performing ongoing audits and maintenance to ensure accuracy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of master files for all Buyback customer account setups and current records.
  • Maintain customer requirements accurately specified by the customer.
  • Ensure data quality with accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Validate data requested, created, and maintained for Buyback customer account and location setups.
  • Provide sales and operations reporting for strategic forecasting.
  • Research materials, setups, and maintain price changes for Buybacks.
  • Familiar with customer material catalogs and material uses.
  • Perform audits to verify accuracy and completeness of pricing systems; takes corrective action as required.
  • Respond promptly to requests from internal and external customers regarding pricing and material information.  
  • Address and/or escalate any issues related to upstream and downstream groups not following processes that are critical to efficient and accurate pricing administration, persistent in follow-up.
  • Support initiatives to improve and develop internal/external processes across departments.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships between departments to stay current with department practices and procedures.
  • Stay current and informed with changes in policies in procedures.
  • Assist as requested to support other PTL initiatives across the organization.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ energy business experience related to timely and accurate data administration, preferably in pricing environment.
  • Pricing experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for internal and external customer service.
  • Quick learner and adapts to changing priorities.
  • Ability to effectively challenge status quo.
  • Identified as ‘go to’ person for recognizing effective solutions and problem solving.
  • Experience with DM2 or PDI Software, including advanced reporting techniques.
  • Advanced Excel analytical tool user (Formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Arrays).
  • Detail oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Required to have/carry a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card when on maritime facilities and vessels.  Otherwise, an escort with a valid TWIC card is required.  

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field required
