Assists with processes & procedures for monitoring equipment expenses in fuel consumption, maintenance, and repair.  Involved in the analysis of maintenance costs, trends, best practices and technology.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform all administrative responsibilities as it relates to general maintenance activities.
• Assist in the development of maintenance budget by providing input relative to policy, costs and established metrics.
• Assist with Fleet registrations, permits, IFTA, and taxes.
• Assist with Fleet Management data and reporting platform(s).
• Assist in negotiating services agreements to ensure cost efficiencies.
• Assist with the requisition of repair parts, fuels, lubricants, supplies and tools required for operations, coordinates with purchasing on prices of parts and equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid and current driver’s license; maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background and criminal records check along with a drug screen.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure proper repairs are completed on all equipment.
• Positive and energetic attitude, team-based environment.
• Required to have/carry a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card when on maritime facilities and vessels.  Otherwise, an escort with a valid TWIC card is required.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required

Working Conditions:

• Ability to push, pull, and lift in excess of 75 pounds.

• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, crawl, and reach.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work outdoors or within the shop during all types of weather.
