Inventory Manager - East Rancho Dominguez, CA

Responsible for diesel inventory daily price controls, computer hardware systems, state taxes and the constant tracking and ordering of all fuels.

Pay: Starting at $100,000 per year DOE

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor warehouse (virtual) inventory on a daily basis
  • Coordinate movement of deep draft lubricant products from main blending facility in Rancho Dominguez to support all West Coast Terminals.
  • Work with blending and manufacturing teams on forecasting changes in demands of marine lubricants to help improve lead times for delivery.
  • Build and maintain graphs and charts for long term projection and study.
  • Collect, enter and apprise of lubricant inventory for West Coast Marine.
  • Track consigned inventories for all deep draft lubricant companies.
  • Build and maintain graphs and charts for long term projection and study.
  • Reconcile month-end inventory and diligently manage inventory variances.
  • Verify quantities shipped and reconcile invoices for receiving.
  • Watch expiration date on all deep draft lubricant packaged products and rotate inventory through based on receiving date.
  • Work with all major oil companies to address dead stock and expired products.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Prior people management and/or leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products with emphasis on Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build a solid partnership with operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Great organization skills.
  • Previous industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift as much as fifty (50) lbs.
  • May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • May require repetitive motions of hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
