Inventory Manager - Odessa, TX

Responsible for diesel inventory daily price controls, computer hardware systems, state taxes and the constant tracking and ordering of all fuels.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitor warehouse (virtual) inventory on a daily basis
  • Tracks purchases on contracts for rebates and prepares needed documentation.
  • Maintains and documents required percentage of participation from minority suppliers.
  • Build and maintain inventory spreadsheets and supporting documents.
  • Collect, enter and apprise of daily fuel pricing from major oil companies.
  • Project future fuel requirements.
  • Nominate line time for fuel tenders.
  • Order fuel from respective suppliers as necessary.
  • Coordinate with fuel suppliers for fuel requirements.
  • Verify and approve fuel receipts and costs from all vendors.
  • Build and maintain graphs and charts for long term projection and study.
  • Reconcile month-end terminaling against product sales, barge schedules and tuck deliveries.
  • Verify quantities shipped and reconcile invoices.
  • Prepare monthly rent statement based in throughput gallons.
  • Oversees local acquisition of computers, peripherals and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Interface with Corporate IT coordinator on hardware and software.
  • Coordinate on taxable status of clients with corporate tax status.
  • Responsible for the coordination of maintenance and repairs of facilities including janitorial services.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Prior people management and/or leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products with emphasis on Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build a solid partnership with operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Great organization skills.
  • Previous industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift as much as fifty (50) lbs.
  • May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • May require repetitive motions of hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
