Summary
Under the direction of the Mine Supervisor, responsible for the daily operation of a road haul truck in an active mine environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Class A CDL with doubles/triples endorsement required.
- Current 1 - 2 years DOT medical card.
- Valid and current commercial driver's license.
- 6 months of driving experience or a valid truck certificate (in lieu of 1 year of driving).
- A certificate of completion from an accredited CDL school is required.
- Have and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- New drivers must undergo and successfully complete a minimum of 30 days of ride-along/drive-along training and an additional 30 days of follow-along training.
- No more than one moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Current 1 - 2 years DOT medical card.
- No felonies, misdemeanors, or DUI's in the last 5 years.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to drive truck off-road, and on roads that are narrow and have steep inclines.
- Ability to properly install tire chains in snowy, icy, and muddy conditions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to pass an in-truck driving test.
- Environmental requirements.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability and willingness to work long hours including day and night shifts.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and walk on top of truck tanks.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs.
